Time And Tide Wait For No Man

In one week, ONE WEEK people, my babies turn 1. How and when did that happen? I promise it was only last week that I was going to bed at 9 p.m. because I had to get up at 2 a.m. and then again at 5 a.m. and then my day started at 8 a.m. Only yesterday was my day CONSUMED with feeding and changing babies and washing all those bottles, BY HAND! The older I get and the more lovely my life becomes, time just seems to disappear faster and faster. When I was 15 an hour took forever to pass but now an hour passes before I can get comfortable in my recliner!
But good things come with change I know and my children are growing and learning every day. It is my life's joy to watch their little personalities develop every day and to see the new things they learn with each passing moment. Here are some things they are doing now:

Audrey can:

Successfully climb on top of the printer and play her daddy's guitar!

Say hello (well what sounds like it!) when the phone rings.

Call me mama!

Read books out loud!

Feed her brother puffs!

Drink from a sippy cup with out handles!

Understand NO and most of the time obey!

Drinks from the rinse cup in the bath tub and laugh hysterically about it!

She can also add bark and flowers to her list of bizarre foods!

And she has 5 teeth now!

James can:

Say uh-oh when his sister falls over!

Eat any and everything with out any teeth!

Crawl as fast as his sister!

Eat a biter biscuit in record time!

Successfully crawl down the step down in the kitchen by himself with out toppling on his face!

Call me mananna!

Read books out loud!

Completely ignore me when I say NO!

Drink from a cup with no handles!

Talk louder when the vacuum is running!

Take his sister's pappy!

The one thing I am most proud of is how well they play together and how much they love each other. In the mornings and after naps they get so excited when one sees the other.

I love how lovely your life has become, too. What a precious way to say it. I'm so sad that I can't see all these milestones, but thankful that you share them with us everyday on this site.
I love and miss my little conjoined at the head babies! Great pic, btw (sorry...this isn't a cell phone, is it?) LOVE Y'ALL!!

'Manda,

Thank you SO much for sharing your moments with your "readers" here. I feel as if these are MY "chirren", I've been witness to so many of their growing milestones.

When my children were grown, I remember thinking, WAIT!! I'm not done Ma-Ma-ing! You're making this phase much sweeter in letting me be an armchair participant in your Ma-Ma-ing.

You say it all so sweetly and completely. Time flies when you're having fun.

Awwwwwwww-a! I miss them so much! I feel like we were just rushing down to georgia (with my mom driving 100 and the emergency blinkers on) trying to get there for the birth of audge and james! I was so excited that I got to take 2 days off of school for my birthday to see the cutest babies EVER! What a great present! I love u all so much!

Wow and all I can say is wow. Those beautiful perfect babies are my grandchildren. How lovely my life is Dearest Amanda, because God blessed you and Jon to bring them to us. The glow that you feel, I am acquainted with, and it gets sweeter and sweeter as the years go by.

Amanda Grace,
I feel soooooo honored that those precious babies were born on my birthday.........Yes, the "darlings" and I are all getting older ! I will always remember the age difference between us is half a century......(Did I just say that? ) Yes, 50 years.....When I turn 51, they will be 1. Ouch!!!!

I think I am "addicted" to your blog.......I HAVE TO check it every day! Thanks for letting us "visit" your world from miles away.

I love all of you so much!

Ms. Robin
P.S. Why did I leave your blog today feeling so much older than usual??????? I think the mere mention of the word, "century" did it! Ha ha
