A peek into my day

These are the moments that make you want to just sit down in the middle of the floor and cry because you are so incredibly happy. And even though at times you feel as if your head will explode from all the whining and screaming and everything else that can happen in a day, there is no where else you'd rather be than right here, with your most precious gifts.

Let's talk about Peach

Audrey is going through the stage of climbing on top and in and out of things. She thinks she's hot stuff when she reaches her destination. Her new favorite thing is to climb in and out of this rocking chair. When did my baby get big enough to climb into a chair AND rock it? She also loves to sit in things like her little baby bath tub, big bowls and laundry baskets. Yesterday she threw everything out except for a few books and a hair brush, climbed in and sat there reading and brushing her hair for at least 20 minutes.
This is the bird bath we have outside that she's in. Thankfully there was no water in it at the time! Audrey has also discovered how fun toilet paper is to play with. She also knows to wipe her nose and mouth with wet wipes or napkins which I think is pretty stinkin smart!! Oh yes, and she is also a little sneaky. I was changing James the other day and she wanted to take all the wet wipes out of the box. I wouldn't let her and I moved them away from her. Very quietly she walked around to where the box was, grabbed it and started running out the door!!

James and the Tiny Peach

I started calling Audrey "peach" a few months ago and it has really stuck. Back at Christmas Ms. Su reminded me that there is a book (and a movie I believe) called James and the Giant Peach. We all thought that was so cool but lets face it, Audrey is no where near being giant so I renamed it James and the Tiny Peach!! Just a little tid bit I wanted to share!! Don't be alarmed this is Aunt Emily's dog that has the sweetest nature of any dog I've ever been around and these two didn't stay in this position very long. But I thought it was to cute to pass! This little boy is very much into playing with trucks these days. Isn't he adorable?

Tuesday night as I was putting something back in the refrigerator I noticed that the light was out. I didn't think anything about it because lights go out in fridge's right? I mean for 2 years we didn't have a light in our fridge. Anywho, yesterday morning when I got their juice out I noticed that it wasn't very cold. Curious. I looked over at the plug and sure enough, it was unplugged. Now I wonder who could of done that?

I just wanted to quickly inform everyone that my sons personality is budding out with each passing day. Last Saturday night while we were at some friends of ours home, James went into to the living room while we were all eating supper and started preaching to a wooden bird that was on the coffee table. It was hilarious. He kept saying the same thing over and over and kept getting louder and louder. And ever since then he talks real loud to his books and the thin air. I wish I knew what he was saying! And Miss Peach has gotten real whiny. The way she moans and whines will make you think she is in an awful way. But as soon as you pick her up she shows her dimples and starts talking to you like everything is fine. Can we say drama queen??Not only is James' personality budding, he has also started exploring all his options. For example: He has knocked over 2 lamps, washed his hands in the toilet 3 times and all items within eye level have been formally introduced to his tongue at least once, if not more! He even licked the bottom of the tub the other night after all the water was out!

Say Cheese!

So, we started cheesing at the camera this weekend. I know I'm their mama and all but I think their pretty darn cute, especially with their little teeth showing. They ate ravioli for supper last night and decided to do some body painting with it.Audrey also started stomping her tiny feet and balling up her little fists yesterday at her daddy when he wouldn't let her get into the magazine basket. And talk about drama queen....sheesh. We are not looking forward to the next few years with that!

Quick Update

Yes, we made it back safely from all our gallivantin' around, just in case any one was wondering! We had a wonderful time with both families and the kids got waaaayyy too much stuff! Good thing we are expanding in the storage area soon! Speaking of that, we are trying desperately to get our house ready to move into next month (fingers crossed here)so I don't have much time to spare now. Not that I had that much to spare before but blogging has had to take a major back seat in my daily routine. AND my babies have gone through lots of changes in the last three weeks so..........this is one busy ol'mama! Uncle Frank gave them this sofa for Christmas and they L-O-V-E it! James always crawls in with one leg up and one arm thrown over the back of it. Such a little man! They had their 15 month check up today, unbelievable. While they were being weighed the nurse asked me if I ever thought I'd see this day all those months ago when we first came in! I told her nope and we both had a good laugh! But it really does feel as if I've blinked my eyes and 15 whole months has gone by. Here is their report:
James: Height-29.5, Weight-19.10, Head circumference-47.4

Audrey: Height-29, Weight-19.3, Head circumference-46The doctor said they are doing exceptionally well and everything looks wonderful! We'll go back at 18 months for more shots(arrgghh)and another well check. I will be soooo glad when all these immunizations are over!
I have tons and tons more pictures from our 2 week Christmas vacation, don't worry. I will share them eventually! But out of all the pictures that were taken, this one is my favorite!
