What I will buy all new parents from now on Some of you may remember a few months back when I told about Jon wearing the "ear muffs" he uses to sight in his guns during a scream fest one night at our house. Well we had another scream fest last night while Audrey was taking her bath and my sweet husband brought me the muffs pictured above and put them on my head and it was immediate relief! I could still hear her but it was not mind-numbingly painful. I could actually finish the task of bathing her and getting her dressed without getting frustrated or ending up with a splitting headache! At one point I was actually dancing while I dressed her! I strongly suggest every parent get a couple pair of these. They will save your sanity and your hearing. Now maybe I won't go deaf until I am 45!

James and Audrey have both found their fingers and boy do they love them! They are constantly sucking on them and constantly shoving them so far down their throats that they get choked on them! Audrey especially loves her two middle fingers!

The ear muffs are definitely an improvement on Buddy's home-made ear plugs....if you know what I mean!!! :0) Aunt Betsy

I absolutely don't believe I can stand how cute my grandchildren are....I think you're making that up about the screaming...I never saw such contentment and serenity...I just don't believe they're capable of all that noise.

By the way, Posters, Dana and Amber especially, read PawPaw's post to you yesterday...

Seriously, 'Manda,

To tell us of the need for the ear plugs...to give us the visual of those ear plugs, then we scroll down and see the most contented babies in the whole wide world...gives me pause.

Their fingers are unchartered territory...then, they'll discover their feet. I can still see my "babies" with their feet lifted up, holding onto them with those chubby little hands...precious recall.

Thank you for these blogs. I'm reliving my "babies" in your words and pictures and the gorgeous photography AND becoming so attached to James and Audrey.

A cousin of mine used to suck her middle fingers just like Audrey. She found it extra useful since she could simultaneously pick her nose with the available index finger. I swear every picture we have as kids she had two fingers in her mouth and one in her nose...maybe though Audrey won't figure that one out! :)

Can I borrow the earmuffs? Just got home from Wal-Mart and frankly, I'm a little sick of the "I called front" fight. Just goes to show ya, they never grow out of it...(Sydney said to tell you she was NOT involved. And then there were two...)

How precious. I actually DO believe you about the screaming fests because I have been through a few myself. I am sure I will be going through some more in a few months when #2 comes along so I am sure I will be asking you to mail me those wonderful earmuffs!!
