Mischief Makers

Sunday morning, my dear husband let me sleep in while he got up with the kids. Well, he fell asleep rested his eyes for a few moments and said he was awakened disturbed by a loud rustling noise from the next room accompanied by lots of giggles. So, being the good father that he is, he got up to go investigate called the children into the living room to find out what was going on. When they came in they both had huge chocolate rings around their mouths! When asked what they were eating Audrey immediately shouted "nothing", as her more honest brother shouted "Cookies!" Dear old dad decided he best go investigate and exhibit #1 is pictured below:

When I finally emerged from my peaceful dwellings, quite rested and refreshed, Jon told told me the story but said the box was all he could find. No sleeve or wrapper or cookies. I asked Audrey what they had been eating and she said "we put those cookies in my drawer." See exhibit #2 below:

Now, we couldn't get on to them too bad because I had left the cookies by the couch and their father had fallen asleep rested his eyes for a few moments! And I have to say that there was at least 1 1/2 sleeves left in that cookie box and they did not eat a very big breakfast that morning either. Ha, wonder why?!

The mischief isn't over yet, folks. On Monday morning, I was slow to get out of the bed and the kids were in the play room for about 10 minutes before I actually got up. (Mind you now, I was awake the whole time I was laying there!) Well thank heavens I got up when I did and went to check on them because the first thing to greet my eyes when I walked in that play room was my son standing behind my daughter with a pair of scissors in his hand slowly but surely snipping away at her hair. And she was letting him!!! I shrieked a very high pitched "What are you doing" and James just looked at me like "chill out woman" and replied "I'm playing Ms. Tony, mama." Oh boy should that boy be glad that they were just preschool scissors and that he didn't do any noticeable damage. I shudder to think about what the outcome could have been with the amount of hair that I picked up off the floor. See exhibit #3 below:

It's been quite an interesting week around here so far. But it has the potential to get so much better come Thursday!! We are off to Disney World. So excited, I can hardly stand it!! Off to kiss Cinderella, hug Mickey and stay at the Rotel!!!

Wellll.....please keep in mind, I am their grandmother........neither the cookie incident nor the hair-cutting incident were rebellious, or mean, or anything like that- those angels were just amusing themselves just like their parents- so I really don't think any discipline is in order- (i know you didn't ask me)) lol
